Life Update

Okay, I just wanted to say that I'm still alive. I'm not suicidal, if you thought I was by my last post, I'm just always either busy or bored out of my mind. Recently, its been busy.
Classes changed, and now I have chorus. YES! But I have geometry. NO! As you may already tell, I hate math. I suck at it, and anything past Pre-Algebra, I nearly failed. So my parents are trying to find a tutor for me. It's no going well. We ended up on a chat site where you can talk to "math tutors" ie. pedophiles. I also found a book called "Geometry for Dummies". I need that book. I know this one guy who could help me in Geometry (he's actually one of my almost-friends) while I could help him in History. But he's always busy, being a fellow chorus student. He's also in the school musical which makes it harder to contact with him.
My dad might be getting a full-time job, which is good. So far, he loves it. He fixes and builds computers and fixes idiots' mistakes. Like this scenario:
"My computer isn't working. The screen isn't lighting up."
"Have you tried turning on?"
"Yeah, it didn't work. The screen won't light up."
"It the monitor plugged in?"
"What's a monitor?"
And stuff like that.
I'm getting a job this summer, probably at Target or the library. Matters who's hiring.
My biology teacher is inarticulate. Every other word has "um..." or "ugh..." in it. So its hard to pay attention.
I'm still setting up my classes for next year, and hopefully I have French III, so my schedule isn't messed up. I'm taking Chemistry, Algebra II, English III, and US History II as my academic courses. Electives are Group Exercise and Fitness II, Women's Ensemble, and Health and Fitness III.
I broke up with my boyfriend. He was kind of a jerk anyway.
And besides that, nothing much has happened since December.

School's Out For Summer!

School's Out Forever!

Yeah, I wish.
So this school year took A LOT of getting used to. It was my freshman year of high school, and you know what this involves:
  • Evil gym teachers
  • "He said, she said"
  • Annoying classmates who think they're your bestie when you want them to STFU
  • Guys who you're friends with, but he thinks that you and him are together.
My gym teacher hated me. Also, since he's apparently going the a divorce, he likes to take out his anger by making me run 40 laps across the gym. And 30 push-ups. And 80 crunches. Then play dodgeball against a group of junior and senior boys. (None of which were cute. Most of them were douchebags.)
High school drama. Need I say more?

And then there's my guy friend. Let's call him Will. Will's kinda cute but extremely dorky (as in obsession with "Monty Python and the Holy Grail" and Ray Bradbury and H. G. Wells books.) How do I put our "relationship"? Complicated.
I just want to be friends. But I do want a boyfriend. Will wants to be more than friends, but also asked out my two best friends before me. My friends think he's a creeper because of that.
And then there's his best friend, who my best friend had a crush on for about 2 weeks. Let's call him Brad. Will and I actually tried to set them up once. It was a fail. Will just did that to get me to double date with him, Brad and my friend.

Now, since school's out, both me and my cat have to switch to summer mode. My cat because she's used to waking up a 5:45 AM with me. Now I get up anywhere between 9 AM and 2 PM. (Matters how I spent the night, if you know what I mean... :)) Lol, jk. My summer nights consist of sleepovers, Cheetos, Mountain Dew, swimming, hot tub-ing, and Guild Wars.
But my brain is used to being tired at 10:30 PM, when in July or August, I was awake enough to record myself singing broadway showtunes at 1 in the morning.
I also took my cobweb-coated bicycle out for a spin today. It reminded me that I am really out of shape, my legs burning after halfway way to my friend's house. (Which is about 3/4 of a mile)
I have to start exercising.
Starting tomorrow. Or Monday.

Speaking of summer, you know how kids forget 1/3 of what they learned in school over the summer? Well, I've only been out of school for three days, and I have already lost my sense of time, my common sense and forgotten how to do long division.

So, I'm really tired, and I'm going to bed.
Good night!

(Screw you, school! You ruined my sleeping routines!)

Blizzard...yay?

The streets are not plowed and there's 3 inches of snow on the ground...well, on the concrete. The snow won't stop until tomorrow (night?). People are avoiding the roads, as much as possible and the snow plow broke down. If the snow sticks, we have a snow day. YAY!!!
The buses don't run if there's more than three inches of snow on the ground. And the meteorologists are saying that there hasn't been a snow storm like this in 30 years. And if it keeps snowing like this, we'll have a White Christmas. (Yeah, right.)
So I took my dog for a walk, which only lasted 10 minutes or so, being the "storm of the century", and then threw a few snowballs at my sister.
The snow isn't exactly covering the grass, considering that I can't remember the last time it was cut.
I'm starting to believe that this won't be the next "storm of the century", considering that about 5 years ago I was snowed in at a Georgia airport overnight. And 9 years ago I was snowed in another airport, but I can't remember that far back. (I was like 6.)
And I think Virginia has about 8 inches of snow. That sucks.

Well, the only thing I can do now is post this and find something to do with my time. That can't be too hard.
